TOUR DE WILDERNESS - a new era for Children in the Wilderness

Children in the Wilderness has been operating mountain bike fundraising events for the past five years.

 

These events have proved to be increasingly popular and well subscribed. The cycle tours provide cyclists with an incredible opportunity to ride through amazing wilderness areas whilst at the same time raising funds for a worthy non-profit organisation – Children in the Wilderness.

As Children in the Wilderness enter its ninth year, the opportunities presented by the programme are increasing; there is always much to be done to help the youth of southern Africa. This means that there is a need to be proactive with regards to fundraising in order to realise the programme’s potential.

In order to streamline this capability and to enable the organisation to continue to operate on the leading edge of great cycle events, we have reorganised and are now operating these events under the Tour de Wilderness brand. Tour de Wilderness is an umbrella brand which will manage and coordinate various fundraising tours, with the sole beneficiary being Children in the Wilderness. In this way, Tour de Wilderness will assist in ensuring the sustainability of the Children in the Wilderness programme and therefore will be contributing to the lives of our children and the conservation of our wilderness areas.
